Baby’s Basket based in Lincoln was founded in September 2015 and became a registered charity in October 2016.
Any parent who lives in Lincolnshire and is struggling through financial hardship or other difficulties to provide for the practical needs of their new baby can be referred by a health or welfare professional (midwife, health visitor, social worker or welfare organisation) to receive help from Baby’s Basket.
At the most recent count (July 2019) Baby’s Basket has helped over 750 babies right across Lincolnshire with gifts of baby and hospital essentials donated by parents who no longer need them.
Baby’s Basket has more than 20 donation points around the county where donors can leave their baby clothes or other donation of baby items, mostly based in volunteers’ homes but also at some businesses and children’s centres. Please see our donation page for those things we can use and where you can take them to.
